Katie Pointer, an incoming student at UW-Madison, will serve a two-year term as a &#8220;traditional&#8221; student. The DePere native completed her first year at UW-La Crosse and interned for Senator Ron Johnson&#8217;s campaign last fall. She is currently an intern for the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p>Troy Sherven, a distance education student at UW-Stout, will serve for one year as a &#8220;non-traditional&#8221; student representative to the board. Sherven is manager of information services for MCD, Inc.
