Schneider spoke with PROFS lobbyist Jack O&#8217;Meara and references a <a href=\"http:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=5908\">letter from PROFS president Bill Tracy to the Wisconsin Congressional delegation<\/a> in the article.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Meara told Schneider that researchers have met with Chancellor Becky Blank and are working to ensure research continues: \u201cWe want to make sure contracts continue, the awards we\u2019re expecting arrive, the bills get paid and that there is staff available at the federal level.
