Outgoing UW System President Kevin Reilly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uwsa.edu\/bor\/agenda\/2013\/december-friday.pdf\">will address<\/a> the board one last time Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uwsa.edu\/bor\/agenda\/2013\/december-edu.pdf\">Education Committee<\/a><\/em>: The committee will <a href=\"http:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/UW-Platteville-Business-proposal.pdf\">consider a request<\/a> from UW-Platteville to reorganize its Department of Business and Accounting into a School of Business and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scribd.com\/doc\/189009924\/SMPH-Wisconsin-Partnership-Program?secret_password=ua0o93x3wk5dweh2tk9\">discuss<\/a> the UW-Madison&#8217;s School of Medicine and Public Health Wisconsin Partnership Program.<\/p>\n<p>UW System Senior Vice President Mark Nook will also deliver a report on faculty workload, quality of education and compensation (no materials provided).<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uwsa.edu\/bor\/agenda\/2013\/december-bfa.pdf\">Business and Finance Committee<\/a><\/em>: The committee hear\u00a0reports on recent\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Faculty-Retention-December-BoR.pdf\">faculty turnover<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Salary-Adjustments-December-BoR.pdf\">salary adjustment plans<\/a>\u00a0that address inequity and competitive factors. About one-third of faculty and staff at UW-Madison received this type of salary increase over the past two years.<\/p>\n<p>The committee will also discuss the UW System <a href=\"http:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/UW-tuitiongpr-December-BoR.pdf\">proposal<\/a> for the distribution of tuition and fee revenue and and state general purpose revenue. The legislature directed UW System to develop a plan after the <a href=\"http:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=5065\">controversy<\/a> over budget reserves erupted last spring.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uwsa.edu\/bor\/agenda\/2013\/december-redi.pdf\">Research, Economic Development, and Innovation Committee<\/a><\/em>: The committee will hear an update on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uwsa.edu\/acss\/grants\/Incentive%20Grants\/IncentiveGrants.html\">Incentive Grant Program<\/a>, the distribution of $22.5 million in grants throughout UW System.<\/p>\n<p>The UW System President search and screen committee <a href=\"http:\/\/wispolitics.com\/index.iml?Article=311298\">will meet<\/a> in closed session Friday afternoon interview semi-finalist candidates.
