{"id":6540,"date":"2014-06-25T08:35:56","date_gmt":"2014-06-25T14:35:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=6540"},"modified":"2014-06-25T08:35:56","modified_gmt":"2014-06-25T14:35:56","slug":"78th-assembly-district-candidate-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=6540","title":{"rendered":"78th Assembly District Candidate Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"width: 184px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/faculty.polisci.wisc.edu\/kwalsh2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Walsh_Katherine_hs09_8013_resized.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"174\" height=\"192\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kathy Cramer, Interim Director, Morgridge Center for Public Service<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"color: #555555;\">PROFS will host a public forum of candidates in the Democratic primary for the 78th Assembly District on\u00a0<strong>Monday<\/strong><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">,\u00a0July 21 at 7pm.\u00a0<\/strong>The forum will be held in Room 1325 in the <a href=\"http:\/\/map.wisc.edu\/s\/lgnmp68l\">Health Sciences Learning Center<\/a>.\u00a0A map of the district, which includes much of the west side of Madison, is <a href=\"http:\/\/legis.wisconsin.gov\/ltsb\/redistricting\/PDFs\/ad78.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #555555;\">Political Science professor Kathy Cramer, Interim Director of the Morgridge Center for Public Service, will moderate. Audience members will be able to contribute questions at the forum, but we encourage you to leave questions in the comments section below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #555555;\">Madison alders <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofmadison.com\/council\/district\/?district=19\">Mark Clear<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofmadison.com\/council\/district\/?district=1\">Lisa Subeck<\/a>\u00a0will be on the ballot on Tuesday,\u00a0August 12. Clear has served on the Madison Common\u00a0Council since 2007 and is currently executive director of Accelerate Madison, an association of digital technology busineses.
