Polls are open statewide from 7 am to 8 pm. Information on voting and how to locate polling places is <a href=\"https:\/\/myvote.wi.gov\/\">here<\/a>. Photo identification is not required to cast a ballot.<\/p>\n<p>Many legislative races are uncontested, but there will be statewide primaries for Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, and State Treasurer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\">Governor: Democrats <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brett4us.org\/\">Brett Hulsey<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/burkeforwisconsin.com\/\">Mary Burke<\/a> will face off in the Democratic primary. The winner will challenge Republican Governor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottwalker.com\/\">Scott Walker<\/a> in November.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Attorney General: Three Democrats are vying for the opportunity to face Republican <a href=\"http:\/\/bradschimel.com\/\">Brad Schimel<\/a>, Waukesha County District Attorney in November &#8212; Jefferson County District Attorney <a href=\"http:\/\/www.susanhappforwisconsin.com\/\">Susan Happ<\/a>, Dane County District Attorney <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iozanne.com\/\">Ismael Ozanne<\/a>, and State Representative <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jonforwisconsin.com\/\">Jon Richards<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Secretary of State: State Representative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/VoteBies\">Garey Bies<\/a> of Sister Bay will face <a href=\"http:\/\/julianbradley.org\/\">Julian Bradley<\/a> of La Crosse in the Republican Primary. The winner will challenge incumbent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.douglafollette.com\/\">Doug La Follette<\/a>, a Democrat.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\">Treasurer: Democrats <\/span><a style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/wiTreasurer\">David Leeper<\/a><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\"> and <\/span><a style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.badgersfordavesartori.com\/\">David Sartori<\/a><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\"> face off in the Democratic primary, while <\/span><a style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\" href=\"http:\/\/voteformatt.org\/\">Matt Adamczyk<\/a><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\"> and <\/span><a style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\" href=\"http:\/\/randallmelchert.com\/\">Randall Melchert<\/a><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\"> are on the Republican ballot.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Most incumbent legislators in Dane County face token or no opposition. However, first term Representative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Dianne-Hesselbein-for-Assembly\/263862800357371\">Dianne Hesselbein<\/a> (D-Middleton) will face Middleton Republican <a href=\"http:\/\/www.renteriaforassembly.com\/\">Brent Renteria<\/a>\u00a0in the 79th Assembly District.<\/p>\n<p>Two Democrats are vying to represent Assembly District 78: Alders <a href=\"http:\/\/www.markclear.com\/\">Mark Clear<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/lisasubeck.com\/\">Lisa Subeck<\/a>.\u00a0The winner will be unopposed in the November general election and will almost certainly be elected. PROFS <a href=\"http:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=6596\">hosted<\/a> a forum with both candidates last month.<\/p>\n<p>Two Democrats are on the ballot in the 17th Senate District, the seat left open after Dale Schultz, a moderate Republican, <a href=\"http:\/\/host.madison.com\/news\/local\/govt-and-politics\/state-sen-dale-schultz-to-retire\/article_5d0beb3f-0db9-5e4f-8968-086f5f7eec60.html?_dc=473292271373.79346\">announced<\/a> his retirement. Voters will choose between <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wittwerforsenate.com\/\">Ernie Wittwer<\/a>, a retired administrator with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and attorney and former legislative aide\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.patbomhack.com\/\">Pat Bomhack<\/a>. The winner faces State Representative <a href=\"http:\/\/howardmarklein.com\/\">Howard Marklein<\/a> in November.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow&#8217;s election will also determine the Republican candidate for Wisconsin&#8217;s 6th Congressional District. Congressman Tom Petri <a href=\"http:\/\/petri.house.gov\/press-release\/petri-announce-monday-he-will-not-seek-reelection\">announced<\/a> his retirement in April. Four Republicans are on the ballot tomorrow, including State Senators <a href=\"http:\/\/www.glenngrothman.com\/\">Glenn Grothman<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leibham.com\/\">Joe Leibham<\/a>, Representative <a href=\"http:\/\/dueyforcongress.com\/\">Duey Stroebel<\/a>, and technical college instructor <a href=\"http:\/\/congress6denow.com\/\">Tom Denow<\/a>.
