There\u00a0will be no public testimony. UW System President Ray Cross is\u00a0expected to address the committee. Livestream coverage of the hearing is available on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wiseye.org\/Home.aspx\">WisconsinEye<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, the committee heard an overview of the budget from former Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch\u00a0and\u00a0discussed the\u00a0Department of Corrections, the Supreme Court and the Department of Justice budgets.<\/p>\n<p>The committee will conclude budget briefings\u00a0Wednesday\u00a0when they hear from\u00a0the\u00a0Department of Transportation, the\u00a0Department of Revenue, the\u00a0Department of Children and Families, the\u00a0Department of Financial Institutions, the\u00a0Department of Safety and Professional Services, the\u00a0Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, and the\u00a0Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Joint Finance Committee began budget briefings yesterday and continue today with discussions\u00a0on the Department of Natural Resources, the Department of\u00a0Workforce Development, the University of Wisconsin System, the Department of Public Instruction, and the Department of Health Services.
