of Regent Resolutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/news\/archive\/regents-support-resolution-calling-for-reduced-cuts-flexibilities-and-dedicated-funding-stream-for-uw-system-news-summary\/\">adopted<\/a> two resolutions relating to the 2015-17 biennial budget proposal last week.<\/p>\n<p>One resolution called for a reduction in the proposed<strong> base budget cut<\/strong> and supported <strong>management flexibilities<\/strong> either through public authority status or new legislation:<\/p>\n<div class=\"ead-preview\"><div class=\"ead-document\" style=\"position: <strong>shared governance and tenure<\/strong> and asked for authorization to establish policies of shared governance and tenure should\u00a0they be\u00a0removed from state statute:<\/p>\n<div
