Links to Legislative Fiscal Bureau budget papers are <a href=\"http:\/\/app.blastnewsletters.com\/link.php?M=105860&amp;N=10723&amp;L=256885&amp;F=H\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Joint Finance Committee Co-chairs\u00a0Senator Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) and Representative John Nygren (R-Marinette)\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/app.blastnewsletters.com\/link.php?M=105860&amp;N=10722&amp;L=256873&amp;F=H\">announced<\/a> Monday the committee\u00a0would postpone action on the Department of Transportation and instead take up Medical Assistance Thursday.\u00a0Action on the University of Wisconsin System is expected sometime next week.<\/p>\n<p>PROFS continues to meet with\u00a0legislative leaders, including Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) and Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau), to\u00a0explain why the current budget proposal is bad for the university, bad for students, and bad for the Wisconsin economy.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\">Executive action will be taken on the following topics this week:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday<\/strong><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Wisconsin Health and Educational Facilities Authority<\/li>\n<li>Medical College of Wisconsin<\/li>\n<li>Budget Management and Compensation Reserves<\/li>\n<li>Department of Employee Trust Funds<\/li>\n<li>Drug Screening and Testing<\/li>\n<li>Department of Corrections<\/li>\n<li>Department of Public Instruction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Thursday<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Government Accountability Board<\/li>\n<li>Department of Financial Institutions and Professional Standards<\/li>\n<li>Department of Financial Institutions<\/li>\n<li>Department of Safety and Professional Services<\/li>\n<li>Forward Wisconsin Development Authority\/Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC)<\/li>\n<li>Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority<\/li>\n<li>Department of Health Services, including Medical Assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Legislature\u2019s Joint Finance Committee will meet today\u00a0and Thursday in Room 412 East in the State Capitol.
