The meeting will be held in room 1820 Van Hise Hall, 1220 Linden Drive, and is open to the public. Livestream\u00a0coverage is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/board-of-regents-video-streaming\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2015\/july_2015\/Business-and-Finance-Committee-Agenda.pdf\">Business and Finance<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2015\/july_2015\/0715_CPB_Agenda.pdf\">Capital Planning and Budget<\/a> Committees will meet briefly before the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2015\/july_2015\/Full-Board-Agenda-and-Supporting-Materials-(Revised-7-8-15).pdf\">full board<\/a> meets at 9 am. The full board will hear an update on the 2015-17 biennial budget, including an update addressing tenure in Regent Policy Documents (no documents offered).<\/p>\n<p>The 2015-16 operating budget including fees and tuition rates and estimated expenditures is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2015\/july_2015\/Full-Board-Agenda-and-Supporting-Materials-(Revised-7-8-15).pdf\">here<\/a>. UW-Madison will see a $20.45 million reduction to the 2015-16 operating base budget (p.13)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.05em; line-height: 1.6875;\">In the afternoon, President Ray Cross will offer a\u00a0brief overview of the UW System strategic planning process,\u00a0board members will participate in an in-depth discussion on UW System&#8217;s role in developing global leaders, and student government leaders from UW Colleges, UW-Platteville, and UW-Stevens Point share thoughts on the roles and responsibilities of student government.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents will meet at UW-Madison,\u00a0Thursday July 9.
