{"id":7678,"date":"2016-01-28T08:10:35","date_gmt":"2016-01-28T14:10:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=7678"},"modified":"2016-01-28T08:14:30","modified_gmt":"2016-01-28T14:14:30","slug":"uw-system-tenure-policy-task-force-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=7678","title":{"rendered":"UW System Tenure Policy Task Force Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents Tenure Policy Task Force concluded its work on December 23 and released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/draft-tenure-policies\/\">updated layoff and post-tenure review language<\/a> last week (below).<\/p>\n<p>This language will be reviewed by the\u00a0Board of Regents Education Committee at the February 4 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2016(3)\/february\/Short-Agenda.pdf\">board meeting<\/a>. UW-Madison is hosting the meeting, which is open to the public, at Gordon Dining and Event Center, <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.wisc.edu\/s\/dg0yylt8\">770 West Dayton Street<\/a>. Full board action on the tenure and layoff documents is expected\u00a0in March.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secfac.wisc.edu\/university-committee.htm\">University Committee<\/a> is holding a <a href=\"http:\/\/news.wisc.edu\/23517-2\/?utm_source=iUW&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=iUW2016-01-26\">special meeting<\/a>\u00a0in Room 260 Bascom Hall at 10 am Friday, January 29 to gather feedback on the language. Comments may be sent to the Secretary of the Faculty, sof@secfac.wisc.edu.
