{"id":8341,"date":"2018-02-22T15:29:52","date_gmt":"2018-02-22T21:29:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=8341"},"modified":"2018-02-22T15:29:52","modified_gmt":"2018-02-22T21:29:52","slug":"profs-registers-in-favor-of-senate-bills-823-and-824","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=8341","title":{"rendered":"PROFS Registers in Favor of Senate Bills 823 and 824"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PROFS <a href=\"https:\/\/lobbying.wi.gov\/Who\/PrincipalInformation\/2017REG\/Information\/7113?tab=Profile\">registered<\/a> in favor of two recently introduced Senate bills. <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2017\/proposals\/reg\/sen\/bill\/sb823\">Senate Bill 823<\/a> restores tenure to state statutes and <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2017\/proposals\/reg\/sen\/bill\/sb824\">Senate Bill 824<\/a> restores university shared governance to state statutes. Both provisions had been in state law but were removed in 2015 as part of Act 55, the 2015-17 biennial budget.
