Registration to watch the meeting is <a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsin.webex.com\/mw3300\/mywebex\/default.do?nomenu=true&amp;siteurl=wisconsin&amp;service=6&amp;rnd=0.48767347404382155&amp;main_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwisconsin.webex.com%2Fec3300%2Feventcenter%2Fprogram%2FprogramDetail.do%3FtheAction%3Ddetail%26internalProgramTicket%3D4832534b00000004baac557ec66f74fca82cd7062b0226ba0fa7578810f0077622643b0c66572225%26siteurl%3Dwisconsin%26internalProgramTicketUnList%3D4832534b00000004baac557ec66f74fca82cd7062b0226ba0fa7578810f0077622643b0c66572225%26cProgViewID%3D8700967%26PRID%3Df0d24fe94f3a124ed08baec994122e13\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Regents meet in committee Thursday morning:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2021_meeting_materials\/Meeting-Book_-Business-&amp;-Finance-Committee-(April-8,-2021).pdf\">Business and Finance Committee<\/a> will discuss two agreements relating to UW-Madison and hear a presentation from UW-Madison entitled &#8220;Revenue Innovations and Real Estate Opportunities at UW-Madison.&#8221; The committee will also hear an update on federal COVID-19 assistance.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2021_meeting_materials\/Meeting-Book_-Education-Committee-(April-8,-2021).pdf\">Education Committee<\/a> will consider approval of two new degree programs, including a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering at UW-Madison. The committee will also hear updates on the expansion of online education, prison education and charter school funding. Host campus UW-Stout will also offer a presentation, Polytechnic FOCUS2030.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2021_meeting_materials\/Meeting-Book_-Audit-Committee-(April-8,-2021).pdf\">Audit Committee<\/a> will hear reports related to internal audit and compliance.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2021_meeting_materials\/Meeting-Book_-Capital-Planning-&amp;-Budget-Committee-(April-8,-2021).pdf\">Capital Planning and Budget Committee<\/a> will consider a lease agreement at UW-Madison and construction projects at UW-Madison and UW System.The committee will also hear updates on State Building Commission action and the 2021-23 Capital Budget.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2021_meeting_materials\/Meeting-Book_-Capital-Planning-&amp;-Budget-Committee-(April-8,-2021).pdf\">Research, Economic Development and Innovation<\/a> Committee will hear a presentation from UW-Stout on how the university&#8217;s role as a polytechnic supports the state&#8217;s workforce and economic growth. The committee will also award three Regent Scholar Grants to professors at UW-Milwaukee, UW-Parkside and UW-Whitewater.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/download\/meeting_materials\/2021_meeting_materials\/Meeting-Notice---UW-System-Board-of-Regents-(April-8-9,-2021).pdf\">full board<\/a> meets Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Thursday afternoon, the board will hear updates from the UW System Interim President Tommy Thompson and Board of Regents President Andrew Petersen and a presentation from UW-Stout Chancellor Katherine Frank before moving in to closed session.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the board will approve committee action and hear a report on the expansion of online education at UW System.
