{"id":9672,"date":"2023-07-18T11:42:20","date_gmt":"2023-07-18T16:42:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=9672"},"modified":"2023-07-18T11:42:20","modified_gmt":"2023-07-18T16:42:20","slug":"profs-urges-jcoer-to-approve-state-employee-pay-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/profs.wisc.edu\/?p=9672","title":{"rendered":"PROFS Urges JCOER to Approve State Employee Pay Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2023-25 state budget <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpr.org\/evers-signs-state-budget-cuts-income-taxes-boosts-spending-k-12-education#:~:text=Tony%20Evers%20has%20signed%20a,local%20governments%20and%20workforce%20housing.\">signed<\/a> into law by Governor Tony Evers on July 5 included funding for pay increases for state employees, including UW-Madison faculty and staff &#8212; a 4% pay increase effective July 1, 2023 and a 2% pay increase on July 1, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The Joint Committee on Employment Relations must approve the pay play for the raises to take effect.
