The Senate Committee on Agriculture, Forestry, and Higher Education will meet at 2:30 pm on Thursday, December 8. The committee, chaired by Senator Dale Schultz (R-Richland Center) will consider Governor Scott Walker’s first appointments to the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents. Walker announced three new members last month — Tim Higgins, a businessman from Appleton; Gary Roberts, a businessman from Onalaska; and Gerald Whitburn, a retired executive and former state cabinet secretary from Wausau. Confirmation of all three appointments is expected. The committee will meet in Room 201 Southeast of the State Capitol.
