Democratic leaders and members of the Joint Committee on Finance announced last week they would hold ten public budget hearings around the state in the coming weeks. The Finance Committee is currently in the middle of holding four official public hearings, too few and too far from much of state’s population according to Democrats. The Democratic hearing schedule is as follows:
- Monday, April 8 (5 – 6:30 pm) — Hogan Administrative Center Gym, 807 East Avenue South, La Crosse
- April 15 (4 – 7 pm) — Gateway Technical College Great Lakes Room, 1001 Main Street, Racine
- April 20 (11 am – 2 pm) — Location to be announced, Milwaukee
- April 22 (4 – 7 pm ) — UW Marathon County, 518 South 7th Street, Wausau
- April 22 (5 – 6:30 pm) — Viroqua Middle/High School Band Room, 100 Blackhawk Drive, Viroqua
- April 23 (4 – 7 pm) — Location to be announced, Madison
- April 24 (5 – 7 pm) — Wisconsin Rapids City Council Chambers, 444 West Grand Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids
- April 25 (4 – 7 pm) — Fox Valley Technical College’s D.J. Bordini Business and Industry Center, 5 Systems Drive, Appleton
- April 27 (10 am – 4 pm, ending time may change) — Barron County Courthouse, 1420 State Highway 25 North, Barron
