The Senate Committee on Universities and Technical Colleges will hold an informational hearing on the University of Wisconsin Flexible Option at 2 pm today. The hearing will be held in Room 411 South in the State Capitol and is open to the public.
UW System’s Flexible Option was announced in 2012, and enrollment in the program is scheduled to begin later this month. Flexible Option is a partnership between UW System campuses and UW Extension. Work toward degrees will be self-paced with an outcome of a competency-based certificate or degree. UW-Milwaukee and UW Colleges are the first institutions to offer the Flexible Option.
