As a result of new legislative district maps, many more Senate and Assembly contests are competitive this year. Coupled with a large number of Republican retirements, the 2027 Legislature will look substantially different when it convenes in January.
PROFS reached out to Democratic candidates who are on the primary ballot (August 11) in two local districts, Assembly District 76 (east Madison) and Senate District 17(southwestern Wisconsin, including western Dane County). None of these districts have a Republican primary. Their responses follow this post.
